Villa Honegg is a luxury hotel located high above Lake Lucerne in Switzerland.
Our first visit to Villa Honegg was in August 2016. We totally fell in love with this hotel and so we decided to book one further stay in January 2017.
Nearly every Instagramer knows this scenery. Yes, it was made in this hotel.
With its 23 rooms and suites the hotel is quite small, so staying there feels very familiar.
The room was very lovely designed. There is everything you need for a relaxing day off.
What I really love is the shower gel/ body lotion/shampoo. It is made by Hermès!! Unfortunately it smells like care products for men, so I couldn´t get used to it.
All drinks from the fridge, including tea and coffee were complimentary.
The rooms are provided with anything you need to make your stay comfortable.
I really appreciated that the hotel has its own garage. You garage safely your car and enter the hotel through the underground carpark. Of course there is a main entrance, but entering the hotel through the garage was something special and new for me.
We got a very warm welcome at the Villa Honegg. The staff is extremely friendly. This makes your stay in Switzerland even more enjoyable.
I loved the style of the hotel very much. It´s a kind of cozy, luxurious and modern. Fireplaces are situated in several parts of the house. You feel very comfortable while sitting in the parlor and enjoying the perfectly designed luxury hideaway and the breathtaking sunset.
The best known part of the hotel is the spa area. People book their stay because of one reason:
The pool area is not as big as you would expect it to be. In summer we really enjoyed sunbathing in the green grass around the pool. In winter you have to stay inside. To mee it was a bit too crowded. The view is bombastic, convince yourself and have a look at the pictures beneath. Isn´t that fantastic?
From every corner of the hotel you have such a stunning view.
Having breakfast at the hotel is a special experience, especially in the summer time. In summer you can enjoy a delicious breakfast with regional products on the terrace. We adored the stunning view. In winter there´s of course no possibility to sit outside. The restaurant is very nicely designed so you can feel very comfortable at your seat.
The restaurant is ranked with 14 out of 20 Gault-Millau points.
As a result I can say:
• Visit Villa Honegg
• Take a seat in the infinity pool
• Enjoy the marvelous view over lake Lucerne
• take joy in breakfast and dinner, you will love it!
My tip: get back in another season of the year
